Wraparound Care at Outwood Primary Academy Lofthouse Gate 


Our Wraparound Care provision offers safe, stimulating, and happy before and after-school childcare for all children attending Outwood Primary Academy Lofthouse Gate, from Reception to Year 6 (term-time only).

Start the school day the right way at our Breakfast Club! We offer a tasty and nutritious start with a wide selection, including a variety of cereals, fresh toast with spreads, fruit, and refreshing juice. Beyond the great food, joining us early has fantastic benefits: it gives children a calm and positive start to their day, making them feel settled and ready to learn before the first bell rings. It also provides a wonderful chance to enjoy a bit of social time with friends and staff, ensuring everyone arrives in class energised and focused for a day of brilliant learning!

Join our After-School Club for a blast of fun and friendship! After the school bell rings, we kick things off with a delicious and light tea, featuring popular choices like sandwiches, crumpets, or beans on toast, alongside healthy fuel from fresh fruit, vegetable sticks, and yogurt. Once tummies are happy, the afternoon is packed with exciting activities! You can settle down at the homework tables for a quiet start, unleash your creativity with amazing crafts, dive into board games, or relax during our movie time and reading corners. Plus, we always have special seasonal and themed activities to keep things new and engaging, making every afternoon a fun adventure!

  • Admissions: Welcomes all children in R-Y6.
  • Booking: Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and must be booked and paid for in advance via ParentPay (Clubs module).
  • Notice: The minimum advance notice for booking and payment is 12:00 pm the previous day.
  • Food: Breakfast is served from 7:45 am - 8:15 am, and light snacks are provided from 3:15 pm - 5:15 pm.

Please Note: Parents are liable for all sessions booked, and payment is expected even for non-attended sessions if block-booked. Arrears of more than two weeks will prevent further attendance.

⚠️ Key Policies

  • Amendments/Cancellations: Changes to bookings require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice and must be made via the school office.
  • Late Collection: Collection must be prompt at the end of the booked time. A charge of £20.00 will be incurred for late collection. Persistent lateness or non-payment of penalties may result in the place being withdrawn.
  • Child Safety: All collectors must be over 16 years old. You may be asked for a collection password, and staff must be updated immediately with any changes to contact details.

If you would like to use either of the Wraparound services please complete the relevant Google form and sign and return a copy of the T&Cs, a copy can be requested at the school office.

We strongly suggest if you need to use Wraparound to book on as soon as you can to secure any places you will need as this is open to the full school. 
You are able to book up to a half term at a time. The booking will show as green and say booked on each day you have a confirmed place. You must add credit to the account in advance.
