Dear Parents and Carers,

Subject: Supporting Your Child’s Digital Wellbeing

In today’s rapidly changing world, we know that many of you feel that managing your child’s online life can be a significant challenge. As a school, we are committed to working alongside you to ensure our pupils remain safe, happy, and confident when using digital technology.

I am writing to share an excellent new resource published by the Children’s Commissioner for England, titled: ‘What I wish my parents or carers knew…’: A guide for parents and carers on managing children’s digital lives.

This guide is based on direct feedback from children and young people. It offers practical, down-to-earth advice on how to navigate online risks, set healthy boundaries, and—most importantly—how to maintain an open and honest dialogue with your child about their digital world.

Whether your child is just starting to explore the internet or is already an active user of games and apps, I highly recommend taking a few minutes to read this guide.

We hope you find this resource helpful. As always, if you have any concerns regarding your child’s online safety, please do not hesitate to contact our safeguarding team or your child’s class teacher.
